Cannot see files from Windows 7 64-bit

unRAID Server Plus v4.7

Has been working fine for a few years, but the other day I was browsing my photo collection, which is on unRAID on my Windows 7 PC with a mapped drive, and some of the directories were showing as having no files, the directory structure is there, just no files, so, I check, the directory properties claims to have xxx number of files and consumes space, so, the files are there, but it appears that Windows cannot "see" them. Not all of the directories have this issue, but a good few do.

I SSH in into unRAID, to steady my pulse, as I was beginning to think they had gone, but a quick dig around shows all the files as being there, I checked the perms against ones I can list against ones I cannot, I see no difference, the perms look the same - so what is  going on and how can I fix it?

Ok, I think I've fixed it, needed to chmod -R 700 on the directory.
