Hi,  now i'm testing unraid,  Its up running with 3 drives.

But i cant figure out how to use them as one single drive.

I see disk 1 and disk2,    And they are not pooled.  Even in ftp and smb

Any ideas

You have to enable user shares, the set up a new share and add the disks you want a into that pool

There's some good background here:

http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Configuration_Tutorial#Create_User_Shares

But briefly, you need users and a user share.

Make a user

So go to the unRAID management screen and click on the users tab.

Define an 'enduser', like 'movie-watcher' (all in lower case).

Enable User Shares

Step 1 On another computer (not your UnRAID system) open a web browser and navigate to the Server Management Utility. Then click on Main and stop the array if it is already started.

Step 2 Click Shares, set User Shares to enabled, then click apply.

Step 3 Click Main, then click Start to start the array.

Step 4 Click Shares to edit the shares properties.

Give your user share a Name, like 'movies'.

Don't get caught up in all the detail unless you've got a special situation....Just use the defaults.

You'll get a user share that spans all your data drives.Give 'movie-watcher' access to 'movies'.

(note that for security, 'root' can administer user shares, but he can't see their contents.)
