Banderaz Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 Hi, I try to put a .pkg file in my /flash/config/plugins but I am not allowed. I tried ftp-upload and windows. FTP gives me error: Access denied. Looking into my USB drive, I find a few files I think is a bit strange. See picture. Looks like my Plex Media server is storing something there? I tried to reboot my server, but same error. Is it normal that the flash/boot is write protected? I tried again before starting the array, just after a reboot. Same thing.. Any idea? Banderaz Posted March 1, 2014 Author Share Posted March 1, 2014 Here is some error in terminal windows. Quote Link to comment
trurl Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 Definitely some files there that don't belong. I suspect you have some of your plugins installed or configured incorrectly. Also, you said .pkg. Did you mean .plg? unRAID will not automatically install .pkg files from the plugin folders. Post a syslog for starts. Quote Link to comment
Banderaz Posted March 1, 2014 Author Share Posted March 1, 2014 Hi, Yes, plg I tried to install the utorrent server from https://github.com/luksak/utserver I think this is what startet the problems.. I removed the info from go and from /boot/config/plugins Rebooted, but still some error and the strange files is still there... Edit: Forgot to include: unRAID 5.0.5 (plus) syslog.txt Quote Link to comment
Banderaz Posted March 1, 2014 Author Share Posted March 1, 2014 Do the "new permissions" include the flash/boot? I tried a lot of commands, searching for linux commands, but nothing work. I just get "read-only system file" chmod do not fix this Quote Link to comment
trurl Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 The strange files will not go away but they are not hurting anything. If you want you can delete _6NU1I~G _server_.TMP AX_OPEN_.fil EQ3FUX~T OCS=$PLE.X_M Your syslog indicates a problem installing webGui-latest. Are Crashplan and Plex your only addons? New permissions does not affect the flash drive but it shouldn't be necessary on the flash. Where are you seeing "read-only system file"? Post the results of ls -al /boot/plugins and ls -al /boot/config/plugins Also, the contents of your go file Quote Link to comment
Banderaz Posted March 1, 2014 Author Share Posted March 1, 2014 I can not delete any of the 5 "strange files".. Yes, the webGui-latest would not install... don't know why Yes, I only use Crashplan and Plex, but they needed openssl etc. I also have unmenu and screen. Also installed proftp from pkg-manager. Other than that I can't remember any other addons root@Tower:/# ls -al /boot/plugins total 128 drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 65536 2014-03-01 21:51 ./ drwxrwxrwx 11 root root 16384 2014-02-24 00:16 ../ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 2014-01-28 13:42 webGui-latest.plg* root@Tower:/# ls -al /boot/config/plugins total 576 drwxrwxrwx 6 root root 65536 2014-03-01 22:36 ./ drwxrwxrwx 8 root root 65536 2014-02-24 00:16 ../ drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 65536 2014-03-01 21:32 CrashPlan/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8735 2014-01-23 09:16 Crashplan-3.5.3.plg* -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 9551 2014-01-26 13:29 Crashplan_gui.plg* drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 65536 2014-03-01 22:36 crashplan_gui/ drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 65536 2014-02-24 00:16 plexmediaserver/ drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 65536 2014-03-01 22:36 plexupdater/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15394 2014-01-24 23:53 plexupdater.plg* go: #!/bin/bash # Start the Management Utility /usr/local/sbin/emhttp & cd /boot/packages && find . -name '*.auto_install' -type f -print | sort | xargs -n1 sh -c /boot/unmenu/uu root@Tower:/boot/config# ls -al /boot/config /bin/ls: cannot access /boot/config/. /boot/.con: No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access /boot/config/HOME"\nex.por: Input/output error /bin/ls: cannot access /boot/config/media_se.rve: Input/output error /bin/ls: cannot access /boot/config/_DIR/App.lic: No such file or directory /bin/ls: cannot access /boot/config/X_MEDIA_.SER: Input/output error /bin/ls: cannot access /boot/config/LL="en_U.S.U: Input/output error total 4870272 drwxrwxrwx 8 root root 65536 2014-02-24 00:16 ./ -??? ? ? ? ? ? .\ /boot/.con drwxrwxrwx 11 root root 16384 2014-02-24 00:16 ../ -r-xr-xr-x 1 root root 0 1980-01-01 01:00 AX_OPEN_.fil* -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 1298092613 2014-10-19 13:58 E\nulimit.\ -n* d??? ? ? ? ? ? trurl Posted March 1, 2014 Share Posted March 1, 2014 webGui-latest is empty. Probably because your flash cannot be written to anymore. Run checkdisk on the flash drive. Quote Link to comment
bonienl Posted March 2, 2014 Share Posted March 2, 2014 webGui-latest is empty. Probably because your flash cannot be written to anymore. Run checkdisk on the flash drive. Perhaps the easiest approach is to copy over the relevant files and reformat the flash drive... Quote Link to comment
Banderaz Posted March 2, 2014 Author Share Posted March 2, 2014 Reformat the usb-stick, and loaded my backup. Server starts fine again So giving it a new go to install a few scripts to my need. Need to backup my plex library according to this thread: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=31246.0 Thank you all for help and hint. If it haven't been for my plus reg, I put in a new stick.. Maybe the smartest thing afterall, since this one had some issues.. Quote Link to comment
