Re-sizing a VM partition

Featured Replies

Not sure if it was discussed or not, but certainly useful information if not.

I recently increased the size of a LVM partition.  My dom-0 is running Arch and everything for the resize there looks good.  My question is regarding what if anything needs to be done in the domu vm for it to also recognize the increased disk size.  I looked around and see that mounted partitions cannot be resized so it they talk about using gparted and parted on the unmounted volume/partition, but I am not sure if this also means LVM partitions.

Is this something that is automatic or does it just require a simple command to complete the extending of the disk, like one would do with diskpart when extending a windows volume?
