Intel G2020 support XMP ?

Featured Replies

Does Intel G2020 support XMP ?

My asrock B75 doesn't pop up XMP menu when I use Intel G2020.

Max memory clock option is 1333mhz. My RAM support 1600mhz.

Are you running a BIOS version that supports the G2020?  Depending on the stepping of your G2020, you need to be on version P1.50 or P1.70, or even P1.80 (depends on exactly which model of the B75 you have).

If you're not on the correct BIOS version, the board won't properly support the chip.

It's B75-Pro3. and I already have latest bios which is 1.90

Still no XMP option, although the manual say it support XMP.

My friend said only i3 and above support XMP, just want to make sure he's correct or not.

The Intel processor spec site only shows DDR-1333 support for the G2020 .. there are no higher values listed, so I suspect it does not support XMP memory.

This is a bit of a conflict with their Haswell announcement, which indicated "Haswell CPUs support the Intel XMP specification".

Are you sure your memory is XMP memory?

Since you're running the latest BIOS, then it seems that Intel's specification is correct, and the G2020 only supports DDR-1333.    Thus it's not able to run at the higher rated speed of the memory.
