[Solved] Arch Appliance unable to find /net/Tower

Featured Replies

I switched to a new router this morning and then i reset everything and set all the IPs again on the router. But arch can't seem to see unraid Tower. I thought i had messed up a setting in arch so I tried making a new arch VM and same thing. Been at this for a few hours but can't seem to figure it out. I can see and access Tower fine on my Windows computer. Everything was working before I switched to the new router. I'm not sure what else to try. Can somebody with a bit more knowledge guide me in the right direction. Thanks!

Try using the server's ip address to access it.

Some routers dns services don't play nicely with linux, like my netgear router...

I am able to ping the server but I can't cd into /net/Tower

I actually switched from an ASUS router to a Netgear.

Type "ip addr" in ssh or once logged in on the unraid box and confirm the ip address

Then type cd /net/<IP address>/mnt/

Then type ls

For example my unraid ip is 192.168.1.20

I would type:

cd /net/192.168.1.20/mnt/

Now I'm having problems accessing the VM from my desktop. I am unable to access sabnzbd, sickbeard or plex. Is this caused by the new router?

I hope its okay to continue trouble shooting my problem in this thread rather than start a new one. If not let me know and I will edit and start a new thread.

start a new one just to keep individual issues in silos so to speak

If you want to use tower instead of the IP then throw it into your /etc/hosts file on the Arch VM
