March 8, 201412 yr I'm using Dynamix, and I don't know if this is a Dynamix only issue, but I'm seeing SIGNIFICANTLY different amounts of free space reported by 2 different user shares, both constrained to the same disk. I've attached screen shots showing the different free space listings (FreeSpace.png, FreeSpaceDisk7.png), then the configuration for the Audio and Photo shares (FreeSpaceAudio.png, FreeSpacePhoto.png), showing they're both constrained to Disk 7. All share settings being the same, shouldn't they both report the same amount of free space on the disk?
March 8, 201412 yr What are the folder names in the TOP level of your CACHE drive? (is 'Photos' there, but not 'Audio'?) And what's the SIZE of the cache drive?
March 8, 201412 yr Author The cache drive is 250GB, 2.01GB used by the 'apps' share on it that's excluded from the mover. root@NAS:/mnt/cache# ls -la total 0 drwxrwxrwx 7 nobody users 152 2014-03-08 11:10 ./ drwxr-xr-x 14 root root 0 2014-03-08 11:40 ../ drwxrwxrwx 4 nobody users 96 2014-03-08 11:08 Sport/ drwxrwxrwx 3 nobody users 80 2014-03-08 11:10 TV/ drwxrwxrwx 7 nobody users 296 2014-03-08 11:10 apps/ root@NAS:/mnt/cache# Disk7 is reporting 95.4GB free space, which matches what is showing for Audio.
March 9, 201412 yr About the folder 'Photos'... Could the restriction to 'disk 7' have been made after some photos were copied to unRAID? If so, then there may be a folder 'Photos' at the top level of another 'disk x'. That disk's space would then get counted in the space calculations...
March 9, 201412 yr Author Wow, that was exactly it, DaleWilliams! All of the Audio & Photos were moved to Disk7 well after the fact, and I'd missed one folder with about 6 pictures in it on another DiskX - as soon as I moved to to Disk7, the free space counts matched exactly. (I figured that I may as well keep 1 disk spinning for screen savers & music listening as spinning them all up.) TYVM!
