Hi,

 

How can I create a non-root user for telnet that wont get deleted after a reboot? I am trying to set up an eggdrop but they wont run as root. I can get it working but as soon as I reboot it that user is gone and the eggdrop will no longer start.

    Terminal access is restricted to root. A persistent user can be created with the GUI and used as the process owner.

    will that user be able to have cronjobs? And how does one go about setting the process owner?

    I figure it out. I started my process with sudo -u <user> <command>
