Featured Replies

I have the following error litter in my syslog and i am not sure how to fix it.

Mar 10 10:22:01 LahomaMediaCenter crond[1118]: exit status 1 from user root /usr/lib/sa/sa1 1 1 & 1>/dev/null 2>&1

Mar 10 10:22:01 LahomaMediaCenter kernel: crond[25500]: segfault at 4001e51c ip 4001e51c sp bf9c8708 error 15 in ld-2.11.1.so (deleted)[4001e000+1000]

any help i would appreciate it.

A full syslog, zipped, is almost always helpful.

The only clue here is something failed that is associated with the module ld, or a plugin or addon that uses ld.  Often, this is caused by mismatched package versions.  Make sure each dependency comes from the same version of Slackware.

I did not put one because pretty much the whole log is that error. but here it is

syslog-2014-03-10.txt.zip

An incompatible or misconfigured add-on is causing the problem.

the only thing i have added lately is the nzbdrone plug in, i will start with that.

thanks for the help

Your error is with ld-2.11.1.so. ld.so is part of the C library, which is typically glibc. glibc is one of the few packages that you must use from your slackware version. You WILL get segfaults if you have version mismatches.
