March 12, 201412 yr So I finally set up shares and started moving files to my server after pre-clearing etc. I have 3 shares set up (Movies, TV Shows and Backup), all set to split level 1 and set to high water. If I understand correctly, this means that anything I put into each of those 3 shares is able to be put on any disk, but all files below must remain on the same disk. I may be jumping the gun here, but I've moved about 100gb into my array and everything has gone to a single disk. Am I missing something or does it start to fill another disk after a certain amount is filled (>100gb)? I'm open to organization suggestions as well...I just figured my basic needs would be met by sharing at level 1. I could split by genre or something, but Plex does that for me so I see no need. March 12, 201412 yr What size are your harddrives? From my understanding of high water allocation, it will fill it half way before moving onto another disk. See the wiki.
