Stupid Question about License

Featured Replies

On the page it says: Basic supports up to 3 devices (1 Parity, 3 Data).

But the image below states 3 Array Devices including Parity.

Sorry if it's obvious but as I'm not a native speaker I'm confused here.

For Plus and Pro the numbers make sense to me: 5 Data + 1 Parity = 6 Devices

Since I need 3 unRaid Servers (one big, probably 8 Disks in total, including Parity and Cache), one Medium (6 disks in total, including parity) and one small (only to backup medium unraid server, 2-3 disks, no parity) I essentially would have ordered just the Pro 2-Pack and have the Backup Server run on the Free Version for the time being (until I need more space in there).

So I just need to know if I need a Plus License for the Backup Server right now or not.

I am reasonably certain that the free license allows for a maximum of 2 data disks as described here so it is a typo if it suggests 3 data disks

It is worth noting that if you buy a 2-pack that there is currently a promotion where you can get an additional license for $30.  It might be worth taking advantage of this to give you three licenses you can use.

Ah thanks, I didn't knew about the promotion. That's a good offer. I will make use this then.
