Can't edit wiki pages

Featured Replies

Can somebody confirm this?

Usually the wiki was editable while I was logged in the forum.

Something is wrong.

It's working fine for me.  Once before a user had similar trouble, can't remember who, not sure if it was ever resolved.  I suspect that you may have to PM Tom, perhaps he can look at the linkages with your user account.

I can edit.  Are you trying to edit a specific page or does it not work anywhere?

Strange,

when I'm opening the wiki, I see the "log in" button in the top right corner.

When clicking it, I enter my credentials but I still can't edit.

Have to contact Tom.

Figured out, the problem lies within my browser.

At home it works and when using IE on this machine it also does.

I wonder what changed because it worked once...

...all of a sudden it's working again ...  :o

Coming back to report my findings.

When accessing the wiki directly from the unRAID site it works, I'm able to edit the wiki.

When accessing the wiki out of the forum through this link: http://www.lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/UnRAID_Wiki I can't edit the wiki.

This link appears in the News section on the main page of the forum (fades in after some time).

The only obvious difference appears to be the 'www.' prefix, and both work for me.  I've changed it, removed the 'www.', can you test again, see if that makes a difference for you?  If not, perhaps there's an odd referrer issue.

Nice work figuring that out.

Yes, tested it and now it works also.

Thanks for fixing it!

The wiki connects to the forum user database to authenticate.  If you are "logged out" of the forum it might not let you edit the wiki.

  • Author

I know, I was logged in but it failed.

The modification done by RobJ fixed it though.

Editing the wiki is not possible again!

Neither when coming from the limetech site, nor out of the forum, nor when using the "log in" button in the wiki itself.

Using firefox, and IE and both don't work.

Right.  Our webhost updated php and that broke the smf_auth module.  A newer smf_auth module was available so we updated mediawiki to latest version and installed the newer smf_auth module.  And..... it's broken.  Sorry, we are looking into it.

As for now, login is possible but the database is locked for maintenance.

Tom is working on it I believe... for sure it is not forgotten.
