plaverda
Hi, I've just picked up a bargain (hopefully), Supermicro X10SLL-S. I was going to go for one of the other X10 boards to include Onboard IPMI, but the motherboard I bought was a great deal I couldn't resist. So I'll spend the savings on CPU and RAM. This is also my first post, first PC build of any kind, and it's being built in an Apple Mac G5 case. :-) So has anybody used one of these boards yet, and what would be a good intel Xeon to use? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
mrow
Off topic but what CPU did the G5 have in it and do you still have it? If you're looking to get rid of it for cheap maybe I'll take it off your hands to upgrade the CPU in my G5 Xserve. I've got the 2.0GHz chip in it now. Quote Link to comment
plaverda
Unfortunately it was already stripped as I bought an empty case. But I do have a matching machine that I'll turn into a hackintosh next. This has dual 2.7ghz if your interested in those when I convert. Quote Link to comment
mrow
Cool, send me a message when you get around to doing that and I'll let you know. Quote Link to comment
