January 25, 200917 yr Hello; I just realized that I've ended up with files belonging to the same tree on 2-3 disks (vob files, mp3s etc). I've created new shares with a lower split level, and I went in telnet, using MC, I moved the whole content from the old share to the new share, hoping that it will work out some magic... It didn't, all the files continue to be distributed on the same underlying disks. Any suggestion to do this differently (aside from the obvious manual intensive, find and consolidate one by one all those found to have this problem)? Thanks for any ideas! HG PS: unrelated to this directly - I've also hit some problems when trying to move files onto the unraid directory structure. resolved through upgrading to the latest ntfs-3g driver from zenwalk http://packages.zenwalk.org/?p=ntfs-3g-2009.1.1-i486-60.1.tgz&zversion=snapshot (a linux distribution based on slackware) since slackware did not have the latest version published.
