Issue with Plex and Mover

Featured Replies

I had Plex installed on my disk1 (I had the free version of unraid) for some time and everything was working fine. I used this instructions:

2) Stop the array and shutdown unraid. Remove your flash drive, put in in your pc and create a folder on the root called “extra”. Place the newly downloaded .txz  file in "extra" folder

3) At the same time i would download the plex updater and place the .plg file in the "/config/plugins' folder. For update instructions see below.

4) Reboot server

5) In WebUI browse to "shares" and create a new one called "apps"

a ) If you have the paid version of unRAID set use cache disk to "only"

b ) If you have the free version of unRAID set the disk to disk1 only (for example)

6) In WebUI browse to "settings" and you should see 2 new icons, one for plex, one for updater

7) Click on plex and you are presented with two fields and an enable button

a ) If you have the paid version of unRAID set the library directory to: /mnt/cache/apps/Plex and the Temp directory to: /mnt/cache/apps/Plex/Temp

b ) If you have the free version of unRAID set the library directory to: /mnt/disk1/apps/Plex and the Temp directory to: /mnt/disk1/apps/Plex/Temp

8) Set enable to "yes"

9) Reboot unraid

9) You should then be able to access Plex Media Server via your web browser with: http://tower:32400/web/index.html#!/dashboard where "tower" is either the IP address or name of your UnRaid Server.

The problem was that disk1 never parked. Now I have the Plus version of Unraid and decided to move Plex to the cache drive….I changed the library directory to: /mnt/cache/apps/Plex and the Temp directory to: /mnt/cache/apps/Plex/Temp. I also set use cache disk to "only" in Shares.

It works, but in the morning, after “mover” does its thing, Plex is not showing anymore.

Plex shows as RUNNING in Webui but when I go to http://tower:32400/web/index.html#!/dashboard I get “404 Not Found”.

IF I Stop Plex and Restart it manually, then it works again.

Attached is the syslog. I don’t know how to read it. I also noticed a Hardware error there. I am using unraid 5.0.5.

IF more info is needed, please let me know
