April 8, 201412 yr Hey guys! So I have not posted in awhile (years?) because with the help of you guys my unraid server has been running beautifully! My issues started after upgrading from version 4 to the newest version 5.05. When I go to tower:8080 It opens unmenu and looks fine. When I click on the tab "Unraid menu" the image does not show up properly and I get something like the second picture. Also when on the array management tab by the start array button there is a message that says "Unfortunately, it is not possible to start the unRAID array in the unMENU interface. Please use the "Start" button on the Lime-Technology supplied management web-page to restart " I can not figure out where the supplied management web-page is beside the unraid menu that is not working. Thanks!
April 8, 201412 yr Author Clear browser cache or Do a Shift F5 Myk Unfortunately, this does not help I have tried in multiple browsers and after restarts etc.
April 8, 201412 yr Did you install the 'extended GUI' that Lime-Tech released for awhile? Its still available on the web, but no longer works with 5.0.5... If you did, the easiest way to remove it is to install Dynamix. The Dynamix installer will clean out the old gui and put in something slick, akin to Simple Features
April 8, 201412 yr The standard Web GUI should come up if you do not supply a port (or use 80 rather than 8080)

I just followed the instructions for upgrading from 4 to 5. If I go to tower:80 I just get the same error as the picture from going there through unmenu. I can try dynamix where do I get it and how to install? Also is there a way I can start the array that's not through the web ui tell I get it fixed
April 9, 201412 yr Are you running any addons from the unMenu Pkg Manager? Since unMenu seems to be working for you go to the syslog page, download and post it.

April 10, 201412 yr Your syslog shows that you are running unRAID Basic and only have 2 drives. Is that correct? You say your issues started after upgrading. Did it ever work after the upgrade? You say you upgraded from unRAID 4. Which unRAID 4 exactly? How did you upgrade? You also say "I get something like the second picture". Did you intend to post a first picture because I only see one? What do you get if you just go directly to http://tower or http://192.168.1.16

I meant just the picture that I uploaded. And it looks exactly the same if I go to either http://tower or http://192.168.1.16. I do remember that it actually worked One time after the upgrade but I can not figure out why. I think if I remember correctly I upgraded from 4.7. Yes I do not have the paid version of unraid and I do only have 2 drives ATM.
April 14, 201412 yr Author Start in SAFE-MODE. I started in safe mode and still have the same issue. It looks like the attached picture. this is the link I used to upgrade http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Upgrade_Instructions Maybe I can start over with fresh install? Is there a way to Start array through telnet?
April 14, 201412 yr You say it looks the same if you just go to http://tower I don't see how this can be since the screenshots you are showing us are from unMenu, which is at http://tower:8080, not http://tower

Gives me.the same error whether it's on unmenu or at tower, tower:80 or just the direct ip address

I did this and their were no errors. Here is what it looks like from just tower:80 Is there a way I can just reinstall 5.05 on my flash drive?
April 17, 201412 yr Author OK guys so I think I fixed part of it (for now). I backed up my flash and then changed the Go file to the stock one so unmenu is not active. That worked and I can access the main GUI and start the array. However, now I am getting a permissions error when trying to access my content folders. For example I go to my network and click on tower. I can then click on my movies folder. Once in there if I click any movie I get this error: "//TOWER/movies/moviename is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The handle is invalid." I went to the files in the MAIN GUI and is show that they are all still on the disk. Any ideas?
April 17, 201412 yr Author Actually just found out about the Permissions fix after upgrading from 4.X to 5. I am running it now hopefully that will fix it.
