It is only a sub-6000rpm drive. ... It only has a variable sub-6,000 RPM spindle speeds with 64MB cache... Quote Link to comment

pkn
I think what we are seeing right now - multiple sales of 4TB drives - is vendors reaction on Toshiba 5TB drive reached the market. Quote Link to comment

(after consideration) Nah, I won't drive 15 miles to Microcenter just to satisfy my curiosity. I'll better drive 10 miles to Fry's to pick up another 4TB HGST! Quote Link to comment
mikejp
I believe it is this drive... http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=1080 Quote Link to comment
garycase
WD does NOT make a 7200 rpm green drive. The EZRX is a 5400rpm unit with 1TB/platter areal density. Still a good price -- if you want to use a green drive. Personally, I use only Reds. Quote Link to comment

pkn
Seems like they've changed it back to $6 shipping... Description has changed, too. Now it says "IntelliPower" instead of 7200rpm. "IntelliPower" is WDs buzzword for "Somewhere between 5400 and 7200 rpm. But WD is not telling.". I don't really think it's variable RPMs, although the word kinda suggests it. Quote Link to comment
