so what is the easiest way to switch from unraid 5 to 6.

 

I am still on the free version but I do not want to loose data/ all the drive prep work I already did.

 

From what I think I understand I...

1. Take another USB stick,  install 6 on it.

2. Parity check my server.

3. Confirm where each drive should be ( take screen shot so I have a serial number to disk assignment so I can reassign them to the correct spots i.e. parity drive, draive1, drive 2 ect... ) 

4. Shutdown.

5. Replace Unraid 5 USB stick with the version 6 USB stick.

6. Boot.

7. Reassign drives to the correct spot.

8. ?Then do another parity check?
