I got this Areca card and I'm trying to get it working with my unraid tower.  I installed it went into the BIOS of the card and changed the raid function to JBOD.  When I then booted into unraid, my drives were visible but the disk identification was all screwed up and my 3TB drives were all showing as 802GB drives.

 

Any help on configuring this card for unraid is greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I am looking at one of those cards right now.  They are said to support 64but LBA, and also I have seen that they work with 3TB drives:

I see in that post that you MUST update the firmware, the post tells you where to get it.

 

If you have not updated, maybe it is time to give it a try.  Report back before I buy one of those cards.

I know this is an older thread but I will just say that I have this card working fine in my new server with 4x4tb drives so far.  Parity took 9.5 hours @ 115.5MB/s.  (WD Green drive slowed it down)
