Adding a 10k drive

I have VGA Passthrough working now, with the img file for the VM living on a drive within the unRAID Array.  I want to move the VM to a 10k drive.  How would I go about adding a 10k drive to the system, but keep it outside of unRAID?  I know I could potentially make it a cache drive, but I don't want to hurt performance on the VM, when I'm writing to the cache drive.

Just follow the directions for an SSD here http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=30496.msg274119#msg274119.  Same principle just not SSD.

 

Also I have my Raptor mounted as cache but I don't have to worry about anything else writing to it because NONE of my shares are setup to use the cache drive.  I don't use SAB, etc so don't have to worry about plugins writing to it regularly either.

The one deviation you'll have from the how-to linked is to NOT use "DISCARD" in step 3c
