Permissions Problem... again.

unRAID Server Pro

All of a sudden I'm unable to move files to parts of my unRAID unit and get the following error:

I've tried the suggestions listed here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=26412.msg230956#msg230956

I've also re-run the New Permissions utility a few times.

It is not happening in all directories. The only isolation I've been able to do is it seems to be happening on disk4 in the array only.

Would this be the error that would be received at the high-water mark? I've tried moving some stuff around manually between disks and it doesn't seem to be affecting it.

Are you really running Release Candidate 5 (an old version), or did you mean 5.0.5, which is the current stable version?

When you say it is happening on disk4, is that the source or the destination?

Evidently I'm running an old version. I'll look up how to upgrade shortly.

Disk 4 is the destination.

Are you actually moving to disk4 or to a user share on disk4? If a user share, what is the split level?

Split level is 3.

I was trying to move it from another computer to the share on UnRAID.

When that didn't work, I navigated to the actual disk and tried moving it there. Same result.

I'm now going to try clearing out a bit of space on disk 4 by manually moving some content from disk 4 to disk 6 (which I've just added to the array as the other drives were very full).

This is messed up. I can't delete anything from Disk 4 either. No error. It says it's deleted. I refresh the directory, and it's back. :/

I stopped the array. Left it alone for a bit. Then deleted some contents from Disk 4. It was able to do so.

I manually balanced out some of the load to free up some room on each of the disks.

That seems to have corrected the issue. I'm not sure if it was a swap space issue or something. Very weird.

I'll try to not let it get that low on free space again.

Issue is not resolved. :/

I'm unable to delete anything from disk 4 in the array. There is no error when I try to delete from another system (Windows 8), it asks to confirm, I do so, but the file does not delete.

This only happens on Disk 4 (as far as I can tell thus far).

Is there a utility to check for errors on a disk that I can execute? Any further suggestions?
