[SOLVED] Serviio on Ubuntu server 12.04 drops network connection

Featured Replies

I installed serviio on my Ubuntu 12.04 server VM.  After about 30 minutes of streaming media it drops the network connection.  I have to stop the serviio service and it re-connects after a restart .This didn't happen when I had it installed as a plugin on Unraid 5.  Serviio is streaming media from user shares I have mounted in Ubuntu.  Any suggestions to keep the network connection alive?

I solved this problem by setting a variable in serviio

serviio.advertisementDuration=(seconds)
which apparently notifies my TV how long to stay connected.  After setting it to 86400, it seems to stay connected (well at least for 24 hours), long enough to watch a movie or enjoy some tunes.  :)

How do you enter this into serviio?
