May 1, 201412 yr Author The screenshot you posted shows "Remote Console Preview". Find the actual Remote Console. Investigate the tabs by clicking on them. There is also a button labelled "Reset". Click this button to reset the server. I think I'm beginning to understand (slowly ). I've been wondering what "Console Preview" was. Console is an IPMI substitute for a monitor right? This is what you meant by "Interactive Terminal"? I had already guessed that the Reset Button would reboot the system. I'm a little reluctant to just start pushing buttons when I don't know what they do. Went on the Supermicro website looking for a IPMI User Guide but haven't found one so far.

May 1, 201412 yr Author I finally got memtest running. How do I set the number of cycles it will run? Or does it just keep running until I press esc?
May 2, 201412 yr Since you posted a screen shot of memtest I guess you figured it out so I will skip the graphics. Just let it run for 24 hours. That should give you enough time to see any memory errors. Or at least that is what I do when I run a memtest anyway.
May 2, 201412 yr Author Yes I finally got it. Thanks to all for your help. I have a bad habit of assuming new things are complicated and then i let that get in the way of understanding.
