Problems with Disabled Disks

Featured Replies

Hi,

On Friday I added a new disk to the array and since then have had three separate disabled disks.  They have all been different disks and all return a PASSED Smart Status.  So, I have removed them and re-added them.  All seem fine after that.

All seem to be on different SATA controllers.

I am currently running 11 drives.  7 drives are controlled by the MB and the other 4 on a SATA card.

Only thought I have is PSU is browning out or something like that?  It's a Corsair TX750.

Server version is 5.0.2 Pro

Ideas?

Thanks!

Evan

borderline power supply could explain the symptoms, but the one you have should easily handle 11 drives.  I have the same one handling 20x3.5' and 2x2.5' drives without any power related issues.  If you are using power splitters you might want to check them out.
