May 1, 201412 yr All drives have been precleared, and routinely checked (smart, filesystem, parity) while checking reiserfs, disk3 went offline, tried to rebuild it, and another disk failed ( (i thought it was a Power issue, replaced psu to a 12v single rail 750w) changed sata cable+power cable, tried again, what happens is that drive 8 go offline while rebuilding disk3, every time, in the sys log, system identifies bad sectors in disk8, what can i do? how can i save data of disk3/disk8, is there any way to restore and ignore bad sectors? unraid pro 5.0.5, Asus P8H77-V LE , intel i3 , 8 gb ram, Supermicro AOC-SASLP-MV8 sata card syslog.zip
May 2, 201412 yr Author [2014.05.02] don't know how, but after 15 times of trying, it slowly rebuilt my array, disk 8 shows 28,828 read errors these are the smart RESULTS: (will take 8 offline+online and will try to rebuild it then check smart then report back) sdb - pending 0 rellocated 0 sdc - pending 0 rellocated 0 sdd - pending 0 rellocated 0 sde - pending 1135 rellocated 0 (disk8) sdf - pending 0 rellocated 1 sdg - pending 0 rellocated 0 sdf - pending 0 rellocated 0 sdh - pending 0 rellocated 4 sdi - pending 0 rellocated 0 sdj - pending 0 rellocated 0 sdk - pending 0 rellocated 0 sdl - pending 0 rellocated 0

Will be fixed later. Bad nodes were found, Semantic pass skipped 1 found corruptions can be fixed only when running with --rebuild-tree" should i run --rebuild-tree ?
May 3, 201412 yr The good thing is that the pending sectors on disk8 have gone to zero. As there are no re-allocated sectors that suggest the writes to the 'pending' sectors have succeeded this time around. As well as the --rebuild-tree option, you might want to consider also using the --scan-whole-partition option. This takes longer but may find some additional files (possibly previously deleted ones) compared to running without it.
May 4, 201412 yr Author O.K Did rebuild tree - almost nothing was deleted - lost and found folder was empty Reiserfs - no corruptions Smart - no pending Parity - checked Will keep my eyes on drive8 - i think it's "faulty" (you can mark this as solved)
