But if you add this MB to your cart along with (for sure) an AMD FX-6300 ($109 vs Amazon $118) or FX-8320 ($129 vs $159) the price changes from $94 to $54. Now those two CPU's are in-store pickup only and it looks like all their FX cpu's are in-store only. So keep that in mind. Seems odd [shrug] What was weird was that at first I wasn't sure what was going on. I thought maybe the system was messing up and I got all excited I was getting one of those special shopping-cart-mistake deals So added a second MB and it listed as $94 until I added another CPU for grins and then the MB price dropped again to $54 each. When I picked it up the receipt even said, 'Congratulations on your $40 savings' or something like that. Paired with the Kingston 8GB ECC ram ($84) and ATI PCI Video card ($13.99) I am getting from Amazon it is all a pretty good deal for my server upgrade. In fact I stepped up from originally purchasing the FX6300 I has in my Amazon cart to the FX8320 from Micro Center and up still spent $30 less since both charged tax and Micro Center had free same day "delivery" ;-)
May 7, 201412 yr I believe this is part of Microcenter's processor/motherboard bundle sales. They have them for Intel & AMD: http://www.microcenter.com/site/products/amd_bundles.aspx http://www.microcenter.com/site/brands/intel-processor-bundles.aspx They do have some good deals on their combos.
May 9, 201412 yr Microcenter seems to have had these combos for at least a year or two. The motherboard choices vary some months. Depending on the manager, sometimes you can talk them them into knocking a few more $ off the price, if you get an open box mb with the cpu.
