Disk errors

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

today for the first time after 3 year one of my (new) disk experienced an error (insead of 0 I read 16 in the main page in the error field).

So I went on the wiki which says that there are not so much problems and that the solution is to run a parity check. I run it over the night and now it says that there are more errors (29) but the parity check says "0 errors found".

What do I have to do?

This is the error from the syslog:

Post a smart report for that disk, and it wouldn't hurt to get smart reports for the rest of the disks as well. If it were me, I'd consider replacing the disk, based on the snippet you posted. More information (full syslog, smart reports for all the disks) is needed to give you more thorough advice.

Does anything like this appear in the new syslog? Does the disk show any errors on unRAID main?
