Some help needed, new disk redballing...

Featured Replies

Yo,

Added 2 new WD red 3TB  this week, preleared both disks without any errors. -Then added them to the array, moved a bunch of data to disk nr 10 and now a few days later I start up my server and I get a redball on one of the brand new disks!

Tried switching the faulty disk to another port on my Norco4224, but to no avail!

Please help, is this truly a faulty disk or someting to do with unraid?

Running 5.0.5

Thanks!

Can I remove disk 11 (second red) and use that to replace disk 10? It's still empty!

In the meantime I can access the disk and moving the data to another place..is it normal while copying all disks are flickering except the faulty drive?

I'm having similar problems with mine right now and it's lighting up like a Christmas Tree.

Yes all drives are being READ from to simulate the content of the failed drive.

OK! Thanks!

After I backup the files on the faulty disk I will do a long smart test and look for errors!
