Tried the Google first and nothing struck me as an answer.  Would have posted on the VMware forum but since I am building a system aimed more for those who frequent this forum figured I would ask here and see if someone could point me in the right direction.

 

In the Configuration --> Advanced Settings - DirectPath I/O Configuration section, I have listed two Intel Lynx Point USB Enhanced Host Controller.  How would I go about identifying which one is for USB 2.0 and 3.0.  Want to passthrough the 3.0 ports on my board to a Windows 8.1 VM that will be used for a media player as I have a USB Blu-Ray player. 

 

Controller #2: Device ID 8C2D / Vendor ID 8086 / Class ID C03 / Subdevice ID 8C2D / Subvendor ID 1849 / Slot 26

Controller #1: Device ID 8C26 / Vendor ID 8086 / Class ID C03 / Subdevice ID 8C26 / Subvendor ID 1849 / Slot 29
