May 21, 201412 yr i have a norco 4220 (or maybe 4020) and and looking at a custom power cable to avoid clutter. has anyone tried these?: http://www.moddiy.com/products/modDIY-Premium-Single-Braid-Power-Supply-Modular-6-x-Molex-Cable-%286%252dPin%29.html or know of something similar?
May 21, 201412 yr It would probably work, but that will be ALOT of hard drives on a single power output. I have 20 bays, 4 rows and split them into 2 groups on my PS. I only have to plug in the cables I need so I don't have the extra taking up space in the case impeding airflow etc. Myk
July 8, 201412 yr I have, on more than one occasion, at least six (probably more) 3-4 TB HDDs connected to one power output. Never noticed anything wrong with them, and don't expect to: it's not that much power consumption after all. Provided, the PSU has single-rail 12 volts output. My PSU is SeaSonic M12II SS-850AM, single rail.
