How to register? Planning new unRAID, originally bought a 2-pack Pro.

Featured Replies

I have a perfectly working unRAID Pro version 4.5.6 that has been running for several years.

I'm thinking about building a second unRAID to use the latest server version and use large 4TB hard drives.

I originally bought a 2-pack unRAID Pro, and registered only one USB flash drive.  The instructions to get a registration code for a second USB Flash drive are:  "After you have received the email containing the first key, you may reply to that email in the future with your second Flash GUID and we will send you it’s key."

Problem:  Well I've long ago lost that email through various changes in email services, newer computers, and a couple hard drive crashes.  I can't even be completely certain which of several email addresses I used to purchase my 2-pack Pro.  Of course I still have my working unRAID server, with its Flash GUID and "Registered To" my name.

Question:  Will I be able to send in the new Flash GUID, maybe with the data I have from my working unRAID server, such that I'll be able to use my second unRAID Pro license that I purchased several years ago?

It can't hurt to try, Tom seems to be pretty reasonable about licences.

Sent from a mobile device, sorry for any typos.

I suspect Tom tracks these through e-mail addresses -- so I'd send him an e-mail with all of the addresses you can remember, and see if he can look it up for you.  Barring that, send him the GUID of the flash drive you're currently using, and he may be able to associate that with an e-mail address -- which will let him look up your original purchase.

I suspect one of those avenues will allow him to recover your original purchase info ... and you'll then be able to use your 2nd key.
