May 25, 201412 yr Author Here is the results of the filesystem check. Do I use the rebuild tree option? The disclaimer has me concerned. Comparing bitmaps..vpf-10640: The on-disk and the correct bitmaps differs. Bad nodes were found, Semantic pass skipped 88 found corruptions can be fixed only when running with --rebuild-tree ########### reiserfsck finished at Sun May 25 09:51:21 2014 ########### Also, before I try fixing this, I should be able to copy the files from the emulated drive 5 back to the array, cant I? I have plenty of space available. Thanks..
May 29, 201412 yr Author I did the --rebuild tree option, now upon starting the array, there is a redball next to drive 5, but it says unformated next to it. Do I format it and restart array like when replacing a drive? Hoping it will rebuild from the rest of the disks? I ran the resierfs check again and got the following error reiserfs_open: the reiserfs superblock cannot be found on /dev/sdh. Failed to open the filesystem. If the partition table has not been changed, and the partition is valid and it really contains a reiserfs partition, then the superblock is corrupted and you need to run this utility with --rebuild-sb. I almost have a backup drive precleared, should I just wait, and replace it with the new drive and let it rebuild?
May 29, 201412 yr Running against /dev/sdh will fail - if you are going to use the raw device names then you have to include the partition number (e.g./dev/sdh1). Ideally you should instead have used the /dev/md? type device names instead which means that unRAID does the mapping to partition 1. Regarding the disk that says unformatted it - DO NOT format it unless you want to lose its contents.

May 29, 201412 yr Author Yes I did.. then it had a red ball next to it and said unformated. Didnt format it, but replaced it with a precleared disk, it says its rebuilding now. I still have the other disk, and nothing has been written to the array since this started. Did I miss up? When I said it was showing no file system, I was mistakenly running the check on sdh instead of mdh.
