May 25, 201412 yr Admittedly, I'm not great with Linux or command line installations so I was pretty excited to see plugins introduced for unRAID 5.0. I had a friend help me with the upgrade from 4.7 and we eventually got there. At the time there was some issues using the plugin installations directly from unRAID so we installed CONTROL PANEL. It would give me the basic programs I wanted to use: PLEX, Sabnzbd, Sickbeard, Couchpotato, APC USPD, etc.. I have everything up and running now the way I want it except CouchPotato and for the life of me I can't figure out why. It is installed directly from CONTROL PANEL and it appears to be up and running. It reflects as RUNNING in both Control Panel and in the plugin itself, however, when I access the port via a web browser it isn't there. I change ports and it the port change sticks and it is clearly running, but I still can't access it. I really thought once I could reflect that it was indeed running I would be home free, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Has anyone else seen this?
May 28, 201412 yr Author Bump...no one else has seen this, a clearly running CouchPotato, but it just isn't there from the browser? I would have thought someone might have run in to this given how I installed it was pretty much by default from the Control Panel.
May 28, 201412 yr Why not try some port scanning software on one of your client machines and scan the IP of your unRAID server. See what port CP is using and check it against the port scan. Any of the other apps using the same port as CP?
May 28, 201412 yr Author I could try that, but it doesn't feel like a port issue. The port is clearly reflected in the plugin and I've tried 5050 (the default), 8082, 8083, etc.. The port change seems to stick via the plugin, but when you go there, nothing. It is confusing because the plugin and the CONTROL PANEL clearly reflect that it is running, but something tells me it actually isn't.
May 28, 201412 yr I've got exactly the same issue. Everything tells me that CP is running, but no matter what port I try I can't connect to it. I have SB and SAB running happily ... frustrating!
May 28, 201412 yr Can you read the couchpotato log? There have been times where CP uses a different port number than what was specified in the config file.
May 28, 201412 yr Just cracked it. The port number was repeated in the [core] section of the settings.conf file. It had: Port = 80828082 instead of Port = 8082 Edited and all is well.
May 28, 201412 yr Author This will show you how ignorant I am when it comes to Linux. I can't even find the settings.conf file. All the files and folders seem to be there for CouchPotato V2 on my cache drive (on the unRAID server). It would have had to create the settings.conf file somewhere...right?
May 28, 201412 yr You should find it where you keep your plugins... in my case flash/config/plugins/couchpotato_v2
May 28, 201412 yr Author Well, what the fudge. That did it. Thanks so much. It was reflecting 50508083 so I just deleted the 8083 and saved over it. It seems odd that only a few people are seeing this. Anyway, thanks again. I have something I think I can work with now.
June 4, 201412 yr this exact same thing happened me the other day - the double 80828082 entry in the settings file just for couchpotato too
