May 27, 201412 yr I have confirmed that unRAID has the correct time, as does the BIOS (last time i checked, which was not recently), and have updated the time inside the VM, but whenever I restart the VM, the time is off by about 6 hours. thoughts on how to resolve?
May 27, 201412 yr It is a known issue with vm. The virtual bios does not properly updates. I usually just set windoes time to update from time server. Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk
May 27, 201412 yr Use the Doug Knox utility to set Windows to automatically update from an atomic clock server once every hour. This also causes Windows to do that update when it boots -- so the clock should always be correct.
May 27, 201412 yr Author Okay, thanks for the input. I'll look into the Doug Knox utility soon. I'm fighting other issues at the moment
May 27, 201412 yr Okay, thanks for the input. I'll look into the Doug Knox utility soon. I'm fighting other issues at the moment I was going to send you a link to the utility, but it's apparently no longer available online (at least not easily). Send me a PM when you want it and I'll e-mail you a copy.
May 27, 201412 yr Add this to the configuration file for the VM then the VM time will be sync'd with the unRAID time: localtime = 1
May 27, 201412 yr Author thank you both. I just executed the Doug Knox utility, then saw the config setting, so I added it also. not sure if I need to uninstall the utility with this setting. I suppose having both at work can't hurt thanks again.
