May 30, 201412 yr Hi all, Been a while since ive posted as everything has been going well. Recently though, not so well. I can no longer write to any of my drives. I get "not enough room" on my side. Server side: REISERFS error (device md2: reiserfs-2025 reiserfs_cache_bitmap_metadata: bitmap block 126910464 is corrupted: first bit must be 1. System log attached! Thanks! syslog.txt
May 31, 201412 yr This disk: "WDC WD20EZRX-00D8PB0, WD-WCC4N0367183" is putting out errors very early in the boot process...even before unRAID starts to load. See Drive Interface Error #1 at: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php?title=The_Analysis_of_Drive_Issues "Your machine seems to be suffering genuine link layer problem. In most cases, this indicates hardware problem and in my experience, common causes are (in the order of ballpark frequency)... # inadequate power supply # device and controller don't like each other on 3Gbps # cable too long or flaky connector (especially with eSATA cables or genders or backplanes) # faulty controller or drive" From your syslog: May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2.00: exception Emask 0x50 SAct 0x1 SErr 0x280900 action 0x6 frozen May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2.00: irq_stat 0x09000000, interface fatal error May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2: SError: { UnrecovData HostInt 10B8B BadCRC } May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2.00: failed command: READ FPDMA QUEUED May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2.00: cmd 60/08:00:00:00:00/00:00:00:00:00/40 tag 0 ncq 4096 in May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: res 40/00:04:00:00:00/00:00:00:00:00/40 Emask 0x50 (ATA bus error) May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2.00: status: { DRDY } May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2: hard resetting link May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2: SATA link up 3.0 Gbps (SStatus 123 SControl 300) May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2.00: failed to IDENTIFY (I/O error, err_mask=0x100) May 30 15:24:51 Tower kernel: ata2.00: revalidation failed (errno=-5)
May 31, 201412 yr Try a new SATA cable. This should fix the (ATA bus error). Then run reiserfsck on the disk (see check disk filesystems in my sig.)
June 5, 201412 yr Author Alrighty, so it looks like things are getting better. I have all the disks up and running. But now my permissions might be messed up somehow. When I try to copy anything to the server, I get "Target: Access is denied". Log attached, you can see where it attempts to copy a movie or two over and fails. Thoughts? log.txt
