May 31, 201412 yr This isn't really an unRaid problem but it is related I think. I recently purchased a fan upgrade for my server. Gelid 80mm and Corsair 120mm fans. The Gelids work great no problems. With the Corsair fans IPMI shows no fans installed on what ever port I attach them to. I've swapped ports between the Gelids and Corsairs just to make sure the problem is not in the motherboard, but it didn't make any difference. Wondering if anyone has any experience with these fans and getting PWM to work. Since I swapped the stock Rosewill fans for Corsairs all my drive temps are running about 3 to 5C hotter. Really looks like the fans must be running in slow speed even though I have fan speed set to high. Contacted Corsair Tech Support about this of course. Still waiting for their reply after a week. Go figure. Thats why I thought I would take a shot here.
June 13, 201412 yr Author I've RMA'd the fans. Tech Support believes that replacements will solve the problem. Guess I'll find out if they're right in another week or so.
