Does anyone know of a cheap drive controller that ESXi 5.5 will recognize and accept for use with a datastore drive?

    Is the on board sata ports not an option?  I had to use the C226 chipset sata ports because my Marvell controllers were not compatible with ESXi and did not support VT-d making them completely useless for me.

    The onboard ports are being passed through to an unRAID VM. Hence the need for a second controller  ;)
