June 7, 201412 yr I have developed an interesting MySQL / XBMC setup and thought i would share with my fellow unRAID users. Do you have multiple XBMC clients and want an efficient but simple solution to keep track of watched status and bookmarks for multiple profiles. Do you want to scan once for all of your XBMC clients and profiles. Then this tutorial is for you. Check out my thread on the XBMC forum.
June 7, 201412 yr What is the difference between a Server and Client setup? Can you comment on my post here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=33688.0
June 8, 201412 yr Author Server only sets up profile a in advancedsettings.xml Client sets up a, b, c, d and e with individual advancedsettings.xml, symlinks for addon_data, Database and thumbnails folders, symlinks files guisettings.xml, mediasources.xml and sources.xml then creates a profiles.xml file with selected users.
June 8, 201412 yr Am I correct in saying that this setup (as described here) does not sync the XBMC setup data (thumbnails, xml files, addon_data, etc...) across clients?

July 5, 201412 yr Path substitution in advancedsettings.xml? Tried it and it doesnt work cleanky. Not everything is substituted.

If you have root on your android device I think you can make symlinks... but I never tried as I mostly use root for custom roms, Titanium Backup, Tethering options, and security enhancements (blocking Facebook and other apps from location and other information they don't need to know). When I was using an Android XBMC install I simply did database syncing and copied my pre-configured sources.xml, nothing flashy.
