June 9, 201412 yr Hi All Firstly - sorry this is in the wrong forum - I don't have a "New Topic" option to start this thread in there. OK... I know this must be simple - I have 6b5.0a running on my Proliant Microserver Gen8 test machine - but cant find where to start a parity check from - the button has gone from the main page. Can someone please point me in the right way Thanks
June 9, 201412 yr Strange - the only time I have seen the parity check button disappear is if there is no parity drive allocated.
June 9, 201412 yr I can't say I've ever seen this (except as itimpi mentions). Does the parity drive show a green dot beside it, or a different color? If you reboot the server is it the same? If none of the above helps, you could install UnMENU which has the parity check option under Array Management.
June 9, 201412 yr Author Doh - Erm... schoolboy error - as its only testing at the moment I haven't fitted a parity drive. That'll teach me to look before I leap
