June 9, 201412 yr On my windows network I see all the drives plus my shares on the Tower. How do I hide the individual drives and only show my shares on the net. Thanks, Bob Silver
June 9, 201412 yr Click on the drive name in the unRAID GUI, then changed the Export settings under SMB to Yes (hidden) or No. The hidden option lets you specify the drive directly in windows, but doesn't just 'show up', and no hides it completely.
June 10, 201412 yr right-click on "Computer" in windows explorer, Select "Map network drive...", Select the drive letter you want to assign, then in the Folder box, enter the path to the drive or share you want to map in windows, like so... \\tower\Disk1 change tower to whatever your server is called, and make sure you don't include a space between Disk and 1. rinse and repeat for all drives you want to connect in windows.

That's totally the correct procedure for making permanent links (drive letter mappings) but not necessary to just view or edit the contents. If the drive is set to hidden, you can still connect to it by typing \\tower\disk1 in the address line of explorer, or the search / run line.
