Can you manually change the version number of an app?

The site I use for downloading linux distro's is quite picky about what version torrent client connects. Since upgrading to the latest beta of unraid, I've had to upgrade transmission and so it is no longer supported by the linux site.

 

Is there any way for me to manually change it?
