can't access unraid shares in archvm

Featured Replies

I am pretty new to linux so I am probably doing something wrong but I can't seem to access my unraid shares on my archvm. I followed the tutorial of ironicbadger to get everything installed, but when I try to go to /net/myserver/mnt/user I can't see any shares with ls. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry if I appear to be doubting your technical abilities but since you give so little information ....

1) You have enabled nfs sharing for each of your unRAID shares?

2) you have replaced 'myserver' with the name of your unRAID server .... usually 'tower'.

Yes I have enabled nfs and I replaced 'myserver' with Maple1 which is what I named my server.

Okay, good.

Next thing to try is to ping Maple1 from the VM, using both numeric and alpha address.  Do you get a response using 'Maple1'?  If not, do you get a response using the numeric address?

try putting your unRAID server info into /etc/hosts, ex:

192.168.0.104   localhost.localdomain   tower

you should then be able to find it via its name
