June 17, 201412 yr Hello All, I am looking for low capactiy, 250GB and under, SATA drives. With all the burn in and testing I do when building servers I have a tendency to preclear drives to death. Not looking to spend a whole lot per drive, and if anyone is willing to donate the drives I will cover all shipping and throw in a little extra for your time and effort. Probably looking to get a dozen drives in all. I just killed off half a dozen recently so am looking to replenish the supply. June 17, 201412 yr It is easy to create an HPA on your disks and reduce their size to something small. I had 3 320G drives reduced to 20G each for testing. Worked great!

June 18, 201412 yr There are quite a few lots of 5-20 SATA drives listed on ebay ... some at very attractive prices ($20-25). I'd take a look and bid on a few.
