unMenu Installation: I don't see anything new on the web page

Featured Replies

Hi

I am new to unRAID so I am in dabbling mode right now but I do have some experience with other systems like FreeNAS etc.

I have build 5.0.5 running and was going through the docs here;

http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Unofficial_Documentation

and specifically here;

http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Configuration_Tutorial

I have Control Panel and Dynamix working and I can see what it does (looking at packages etc and generally getting an idea of things.)

When I followed the instructions on how to install unMenu here;

http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=5568.0

everything seemed to work ok. No errors during install and running the command;

ps -ef | grep awk

does show it as running but when I log into my webpage (//mediaserver:8080) I see no difference. I certainly do not see Pkg Manager at the top so I can look at getting Screen. I even tried adding the line to ./go and doing a reboot but to no avail.

Is there some conflict I am missing here? I am sure it is something simple I have overlooked but I am left scratching my head at the moment.

Thanks in Advance.

Are you saying that //mediaserver and //mediaserver:8080 produce the exact same webpage?

Or does //mediaserver:8080 give you some other webpage, possibly belonging to one of the plugins you have installed with control panel?

Doh!

I was not adding the port number to the url. //mediaserver:8080 works fine and I now understand what it is doing.

Hopefully my silly mistake will help someone else in the future.

Many thanks for the help.
