XBMC Audio and unRAID issues on Xen (Arch Linux Host)

Featured Replies

Hello, I've been following ironicbadgers's guide on virtualizing unRAID with Xen on an Arch Linux Dom0

http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=28931.0

Almost everything is working alright except:

When I start the machine on the Xen Kernel, XBMC Audio doesn't work properly and audio passthrough is impossible and ruins the video output.

On the other hand when starting the machine on the default linux kernel, XBMC and audio passthrough works smoothly without any problems at all.

unRAID doesn't auto start the webGUI, I have to run these commands everytime I reboot the machine to get it running:

killall emhttp

/usr/local/sbin/emhttp &

Setup:

Dom0 – Arch Linux

Arch Linux with Xen 4.3.0 (from ironicbadger's guide)

XBMC with HDMI on i5 4430 HD4600

(Running from USB drive in order to passthrough SATA)

DomU1 – unRAID 5.0

PCI Passthrough of MB SATA controller

CPU: i5 4430

MB: Gigabyte B85N

GPU: none (Intel HD4600)

Any help would be appreciated
