bill_in_socal
If I put an unRAID server on a business network, is there anything I can do to prevent a network user from browsing to //tower and changing settings? Thanks for any suggestions. Link to comment

Thanks for any suggestions. If you do not assign a "root" password, then anybody can change settings. If you assign a strong "root" password, then only those you give the password can change settings by browsing to //tower. If you assign a weak "root" password, then anybody who can guess it can change settings by browsing to //tower. Anybody with physical access to the server can change settings, even if a password has been set. (unplug flash drive, modify settings on it in their own PC, plug flash drive back into server and reboot) Joe L. Link to comment
