korith
I have a lot of mp4 and a few other video formats that seem to be full of metadata that is pointless. In windows I can right click on a file name, properties, then go to details and clear the fields. Is there a way to do a large number of files quickly? Perhaps a utility to clear the title and comment fields from windows, or something from the command line on the unraid box? Quote Link to comment
prtsmgr
Have you tried MediaMonkey? http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/WebHelp:Clean_Your_Tags/4.0 Quote Link to comment
prtsmgr
Sorry, i misread your post. This is for mp3 files. Have you tried MediaMonkey? http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/WebHelp:Clean_Your_Tags/4.0 Quote Link to comment
ClunkClunk
ffmpeg has a metdata tag adjustment parameter, so do some searches on that. I believe setting metadata to "-1" clears it. Quote Link to comment
cassiusdrow
foobar2000 can edit/remove mp4 tags. http://www.foobar2000.org/ Quote Link to comment
korith
Thanks for the replies. I checked out ffmpeg, was going to give that a try. Will take a look at the other suggestions mentioned as well. Quote Link to comment
