Is it safe to remove the passthrough card and add it again in esxi?

Hi

I'm having a slow parity issue (link to my other thread http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=33963.0)

I was thinking to maybe remove the PCI device in unRAID VM, and then remove the passthrough card in esxi, and add it again.  maybe this will solve?

so is it safe to do that? if i add the card again, how will unRAID behave? will it understand all the previous HDDs slot allocation?

Not sure of the process you are planning, but there should be no problem with removing and adding it back. While the card is removed unRAID will not see the drives and you should not expect unRAID to come online. Once the card is added back unRAID 5 will see the drives and remember the assignments.

I would be surprised if this fixes the parity speed, so let us know.
