Hi there,

it is been a while since i have experimented with unRaid an TM because it never work correctly. Something was always messed up so i stopped trying.

 

Now i want to give it another shot, but only as second alternative to the weekly complete backups i do on an external HDD. Therefor i only want to use my Cachedrive for that. Has anyone already tried TM on an Cachedrive only share?

    I've not tried a cache only share for TM.

     

     

    But I can offer that since unRAID 5.03 and OS Mavericks my TM to regular unRAID is rocksolid.

    Just be sure to use 'INCLUDE' to assign your TM backup to a single disk so it doesn't get scattered across multiple drives.
