July 5, 201412 yr Iso is still my preferred style. That way I can have the raw data for conversion if needed and also one file for simplicity. Thornwood
July 5, 201412 yr MakeMKV with only the DTS or AC3 audio track, then run it through Handbrake with a RF:22 quality setting (keeping the audio untouched unless it's going onto a mobile device, then that's a separate encode to 720/Stereo).
July 5, 201412 yr MakeMKV to rip and extract just the needed video, audio and subtitles. MKVmerge to clean up if I forgot to remove anything. Including a few shorts and episodes from boxed sets, I get about 100 blu-ray rips per terabyte.
July 5, 201412 yr I don't rip nor re-encode the bluray's, i leave them as is, a 1:1 copy. Either in iso or as a bdmv structure.
July 5, 201412 yr Same as I but can't use it in plex(BD), looking to convert to MKV with makemkvcon on unraid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
